JUSTICE is now accepting applications for its 2019 Winter internship based in Scotland with the occasional travel to London. Similar to the internship in London, they are only accepting applications from UK law graduates but for this internship, they must have a degree from a Scottish University. Applications are welcomed from anyone who will have completed a law degree, GDL or CILEX when the internship starts.
The role will involve working with JUSTICE’s legal staff; conducting legal research, working on draft legislation and assisting with third party interventions. There will also be the opportunity to explore critical issues of law reform with parties of the JUSTICE membership. The internship will offer the chance to develop research and drafting skills and will allow the chance to engage with litigation and law making.
Successful applicants will have an interest in the challenges affecting the UK justice system and have an understanding of the UK’s constitutional and humans rights framework but will appreciate the specific challenges facing the justice system in Scotland.
Applications will only be accepted from JUSTICE members.
Deadline date: Wednesday 27th November at 5pm.
