JUSTICE Fellowships: Scotland

JUSTICE is looking for a Strategy Fellow to support the Director and Board of JUSTICE on developing the upcoming strategy for the organisation, and a JUSTICE Scotland Fellow to support the work of JUSTICE Scotland.

Strategy Fellow

The Strategy Fellow will work directly with the Director and Board of JUSTICE on creating the organisation’s strategy. The Fellowship will provide the successful candidate with intellectual stretch, as well as insight into public policy work and charity management.

The Strategy Fellow is a full-time role for six months. The start date is flexible but Justice envisage it sometime between May and July 2020. Given the current public health crisis, the successful candidate will be required to work from home for as long as required, before working from our office in London.

JUSTICE Scotland Fellow

The successful applicant will work closely with legal staff and Scottish members to support the work of JUSTICE Scotland. The Fellowship will provide the opportunity to develop research and drafting skills, to engage with litigation and law-making processes in Scotland, and to be part of a small, friendly and committed staff.

Given the nature of the work, applications are sought from those with law degrees or equivalent.

Applicants should demonstrate an interest in the challenges affecting the justice system – whether criminal, civil or administrative – and have an understanding of the UK’s constitutional and human rights framework. This is a part-time role, 1.5 days a week, based in Scotland, working from home.
