Evaluating the Impact of Responsibility to Protect.

This workshop is of particular contemporary importance because 2015 marks the ten-year anniversary of the United Nations’ adoption of the Responsibility to Protect doctrine with its endorsement by the General Assembly in the 2005 World Outcome Document. The responsibility to protect was heralded as an important paradigm shifting conceptual framework for challenging the international community’s perceptions and responses to mass atrocities and genocide.
