Background The Faculty of Law and the School of International Studies of the University of Trento in cooperation with the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation have organized a public meeting on Crisis and Rights in Italy and Europe. Scholars of different disciplines (economics, history, sociology, legal theory and other fields of legal studies) will discuss the relationship between human rights and the economic crisis. They’ll examine the financial mechanisms established by the Member States and the EU to counter the crisis, focusing on their lawfulness, their efficiency, their social acceptability, and their moral justness. The programme is available here. The abstracts of all of the speakers will be made available here. What do you think? Your questions will be raised and discussed during the round-table.
