In this last event of March, DILS is welcoming Professor Craig Barker from the University of Sussex on 27 March 2014, Thursday at 4 pm in Dalhousie Lecture Theater 2, the University of Dundee. Professor Barker will discuss the legality of Russia’s actions from the perspective of public international law.
The crisis in Ukraine and subsequent intervention by Russia in Crimea have been attracting worldwide attention. While Mr Vladimir Putin argue that Russia reserves the right to intervene if there is “lawlessness”, EU and the USA continue putting new sanctions on Russia, alleging that Russian actions “undermine democratic processes and institutions in Ukraine”.
