Writer's picture: dilsblogdilsblog

The House of Lords Select Committee on the Arctic published a report entitled ‘Responding to a Changing Arctic’ on 27 February. The report discusses climatic, economic and political changes taking place in the Arctic, including their effect on the UK. It recommends that the UK should increase its engagement in Arctic affairs.

Two members of the University of Dundee Law School, Professor Robin Churchill and Elizabeth Kirk, gave written evidence to the Committee with Robin Churchill also giving oral evidence. Their evidence, which is included with other evidence to the Committee in a separate appendix, is referred to on several occasions in chapter 3 of the report, which deals with globalisation and governance.
