HUMAN RIGHTS FILM SERIES

Dr Edzia Carvalho, lecturer of politics at the University of Dundee is hosting a Human Rights Film Series this semester. Four different films that address important human rights issues will be screened across the semester. It is open to all staff and students from Dundee University. The film series promises to be both an insightful and educational exploration of human rights issues.


All screenings take place at 3pm in Dalhousie 2S13


31st January: I am not your Negro (a documentary on the life of James Baldwin, covering the US civil rights movement.)


14th February: Call Me Kuchu (documentary on the life of David Kato, a Ugandan LGBT+ rights activist)


28th February: I am Slave (film covering modern slavery in London- domestic servitude.)


13th March: Maidan (documentary on the Ukrainian protests of 2013 and 2014.
